Dr. Cohen is simply the best. I have forever feared the dentist, and detested any dental work I may require each visit. I spent years bouncing around from dentist to dentist, prior to learning of Dr. Cohen through a family friend. Each and every experience I've had in Dr. Cohen's office has been incredible, and without any sort of pain. I once had an urgent dental scenario requiring a bit of treatment, and Dr. Cohen was available and ready at the drop of a hat. Flawlessly executing what was needed, his talents in general dentistry and creative care are superior to any Dentist I've visited before. Dr. Cohen has calmed my every nerve, in regard to visiting the Dentist, and has consistently cured any doubt in my mind. I'll never see a different dentist again. Thank you Dr. Cohen!!!

I have been bounced around to a few different dentists because of retirement and insurance changes and I have never had as good of an experience at any of them as I did at Dr. Cohen's. He was personable, patient and very accommodating as I have a lot of anxieties regarding the dentist as well as some sensory issues that come out tremendously at the dentist! Many dentists rush you in and out and don't listen to anything you say but Dr. Cohen took his time and didn't rush me at all. The office is beautiful as well and I loved the window that you get to look out when in the chair. I told my Husband and parents that I finally found a dentist that I liked and they knew it meant a lot coming from me!

When my family dentist retired after 30 years I went to a local dentist group and was bounced around with a few different dentist at that facility. I gave up hope thinking I would ever be able to find someone as good as my original dentist until I was referred to Dr. Cohen. He was very informative during the whole appointment and his office is so beautiful you almost feel like your at a spa. The whole experience was perfect and I'm so glad I found someone as wonderful as my original dentist. :)

I'm so delighted to have finally found a dentist I like in Poughkeepsie! I had tried a couple others around town and been pretty frustrated. Dr. Cohen is exactly what I was looking for: knowledgeable, honest, personable, and gentle on my terribly sensitive teeth. And best of all, he didn't try to hock any products or procedures (which I hate when other dentists do!). The office feels like a spa (beautiful furnishings, comfortable, peaceful, and sparkling clean) rather than a dentist office, and the staff were all very nice.

I found Dr. Cohen via Google and decided to give him a try after reading his positive reviews. Well, I can now personally testify that he has earned 5 stars and more. First impression upon making an appointment was that the staff is friendly. Second impression upon visiting the office - I like this place! It modern, clean, inviting, and not filled with waiting patients. My appointment started on time and Dr. Cohen and his assistant(s) were all personable, friendly, accommodating, and I never felt rushed. He took his time cleaning my teeth and giving me an oral exam and then explained what follow up treatment I needed. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 I was unable to return. Well, I returned 2 weeks ago for 2 fillings and NEVER have I had an experience like this. I HATE needles but the administration of the novocaine was absolutely painless. (I always keep my eyes closed at the dentist office so to be honest I don't even know if he used a needle...that's how painless it was.) Anyway, fast forward to a few hours after my visit and I did pop 2 Advils because of past experience. I felt I wanted to get a handle on the pain before it reared it's ugly head...but I never felt any pain. I could chew my gum (because I am a gum-oholic) without feeling any sensitivity at all!!! Yesterday I returned for another filling and had the same wonderful experience except this time I didn't take any Advil afterwards...because guess what?! I didn't need them!!! NEVER have I had an experience like this before. So all I have to say is, if you are in search of a dentist, your search is now over! I highly recommend Dr. Robert Cohen and his team!!!
